BAND
Play a musical instrument? Was band your jam? Band members learn basic music terminology,
musical styles, and techniques to improve their art. Gain performance experience by
playing at homecoming, performing concerts, and at various university and sporting
events. Make music all year long as a member of the Ohio Dominican University Band.
Join the Ohio Dominican Band and earn college credit.
ODU CHORUS
Can you carry a tune? Love to sing? Singers will learn basic music terminology, notation,
styles, and techniques. Performances include a Fall Concert, Christmas concerts and
Spring Concert. ODU Chorus also performs at other on and off campus events. Come to
sing! Join the Ohio Dominican Chorus and earn college credit.
GESTURE/RAVEN
Are you a storyteller? Do you like to write? Ohio Dominican University’s literary
journal Gesture is always looking for new members to help write articles, tell stories
and share poems. Share what’s important to ODU’s student body and get published in
our annual literary journal publication. Gesture is committed to diversity in authorship,
subject matter, language and genres. Potentially win awards!
PALETTE CLUB
Artistically inclined? Enjoy drawing, painting, or other forms of art? Ohio Dominican’s
Palette Club encourages an inclusive community of students who love art and self-expression.
Members of the Palette Club exhibit their work through holiday art markets and creative
festivals. Gain some exposure for your medium!
PANTHER PLAYERS: THEATER PRODUCTION CLUB
Interested in acting in a play or helping build a set? Have sound or lighting experience?
Panther Players, Ohio Dominican University’s theater production club annually puts
on autumn and fall performances. Get hands-on experience in areas such as acting,
directing, set design, set construction and stage management.
RADIODU
Music aficionado? Does creating a playlist or podcast sound fun? RadioODU is our student-run
campus radio station. Participants in RadioODU learn about copyright, how to put together
and deliver a playlist of fun songs for events and partner up with other organizations
and the Center for Student Involvement to put on a show.
BLACK STUDENT UNION
Interested in representing black students on campus and a being a voice for your fellow
students? Ohio Dominican University’s Black Student Union encourages growth and community
through inclusive events and conversation. BSU creates the opportunity for students
to meet members of the community, influence positive change and network in the greater
Columbus community. The BSU seeks to help students foster a sense of cultural pride
and academic success among minority students by providing a variety of special interest,
social and educational programs.
CHESS CLUB
Is strategy your cup of tea? Already know how to play chess or interested in learning?
Ohio Dominican University’s chess club welcomes chess players at all levels. Through
the game of chess, members can connect with others and improve their chess skills.
Come improve your visualization, critical thinking and problem-solving skills!
COMMUTER STUDENT ASSOCIATION
Don’t live on campus but want to stay connected and get involved? Ohio Dominican University’s
Commuter Student Association connects Panther commuters to campus life and to each
other. The CSA gives you and other commuter students a voice on the ODU campus. The
CSA holds meetings and sponsors activities throughout the year for commuters and other
students.
CROSS CULTURAL CREW
Interested in various cultures? New to the U.S. and college? Ohio Dominican University’s
Cross-Cultural Crew welcomes new students of all cultures and gives them the social
support they need to feel at home and comfortable at ODU. Creating a space where people
of different cultures and backgrounds can come together to forge long-lasting friendships
while having support from peers who faced similar circumstances.
DEBATE CLUB
Like to debate? Have any ideas you want to discuss? At the ODU debate society, we
will cover topics that range from seemingly silly ideas to grave questions that face
humanity! At this club you will learn different styles of debate and how to think
on your feet. Everyone will be given a chance to offer up debate topics and members
are encouraged to stay up to date on current news. This club is a chance for students
to expand their critical thinking skills and come to a better understanding of issues.
Not only will this club be a chance to socialize with other students, but it hopefully
will also give you a new understanding and appreciation for the world of debate.
ODU ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB
Do you like the outdoors? Are you interested in helping the environment? Ohio Dominican
University’s Environmental Club fosters a relationship between the ODU community and
the natural world. The Environmental Club intends to create opportunities to learn
about the environment, spend time outside and enjoy the natural world with others
by providing a safe, open and engaging space for all members of the ODU Community.

ODU GAY-STRAIGHT ALLIANCE
Come support each other and your friends! The Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) is about
valuing all people regardless of whether they're gay, straight, bisexual, transgender
or questioning. Ohio Dominican University’s GSA provides a supportive environment
for the LGBTQ+ students and their straight allies. All are welcome.
ODU HISTORY CLUB
Are you a history buff? Are you more interested in the past than the present? Ohio
Dominican University’s History Club is a fellowship of students who have a passion
for history and antiquity. We like to talk history and if you are interested, we can
share the best of ODU’s ghost stories. Celebrate and learn history through various
field trips, events and balls that the ODU history club hosts.
NATIONAL SOCIETY FOR LEADERSHIP & SUCCESS
Interested in scholarships, networking and leadership opportunities? The NSLS is the
largest and only accredited leadership society in the U.S. It provides a life-changing
leadership program that helps students achieve personal growth and career success
and empowers them to have a positive impact in their communities. Check out the benefits

PANTHERS ACTIVITIES COUNCIL
Enjoy planning fun events? Like to participate and get connected? Ohio Dominican University’s
Panther Activities Council (PAC) is a event planning club that is open to all students
to help and plan a variety of events on campus. Let PAC gives you the inside track
on what is occurring on campus and let you have a hand in making ODU fun!
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT STUDENTS
Becoming a Physician’s Assistant? Ohio Dominican University has an organization for
you! The Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (SAAAPA)
is a branch of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). Each accredited
PA program may form a student chapter to regularly discuss health care issues, the
PA profession and perform community service projects.
PRSSA
Are you a Public Relations and Marketing Communications major? Interested in networking
in the field? The purpose of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA)
is to cultivate a favorable and mutually advantageous relationship between students
and professional public relations practitioners. PRSSA's mission is to serve our members
by enhancing their knowledge of public relations and providing access to professional
development opportunities.
SLT (Campus Ministries Leadership Team)
Are you interested in mission and in ministry? SLT stands for Salt and Light, and
these are what Jesus says we are called to be for the earth. SLT also stands for Student
Leadership Team and LITE stands for Lead, Inspire, Teach and Evangelize. Make a difference
on campus building connections with other students and pursuing your calling to be
a follower and inspiration for Christ! Get involved with community service opportunities,
small devotion/study groups, and prayer meetings.
St. Albert's STEM Club
Interested in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math? Ohio Dominican University’s
St. Albert’s STEM club might be for you. The St. Albert STEM Club helps students who
are interested in pursuing a career in a STEM-related field through career exploration,
academic preparation, and resume building. The club exposes members to the world of
STEM through various hands-on activities, and creates awareness about STEM-related
issues both on and off campus.
STUDENT ATHLETE ACTIVITY COUNCIL
Interested in representing fellow athletes? Do you want to serve as a liaison? Student
Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) is an organization that consists of student-athlete
representatives who act as a liaison between the athletic department, coaches and
the NCAA. The representatives meet twice a month to discuss issues in the NCAA, to
plan new events or to help with opportunities for involvement in GLIAC events. Connect
with other student-athletes and have some fun uplifting one another!
STUDENTS OF PANTHER PROMISE
Are you a Panther Promise student? Interested in being connected with other Panther
Promise students? Ohio Dominican University’s Students of Panther Promise organization
embodies the social connection aspect to the Panther Promise program. S.O.P.P members
plan events, collaborate with other organizations and network and participate in campus
life beyond he classroom.
SUA SPONTE (ROTC/Patriots Program)
Coming back to school after serving your country? Sua Sponte bridges the gap from
combat to classroom to career! Sua Sponte's purpose is to aid Veterans separating
from the military, helping them have a smooth transfer into civilian and student life.
Using discipline, structure, and motivation, Sua Sponte strives to be a positive and
impactful presence on campus and in our community. Sua Sponte's mission is to create
a thriving environment for Veterans while helping students, faculty and staff in support
of transitioning veterans.
WORLD STUDENT CLUB
Studying abroad in the U.S.? Interested in all things international? The World Student
Club is an organization which provides support to students of diverse backgrounds.
Being international students ourselves, we understand that getting accustomed to another
culture can be a real challenge. Therefore, our main goal is to help international
students as they adjust to their new life in the U.S. It strengthens relationships
between students from all over the world. The organization welcomes every student
who is interested in learning more about foreign countries.
HONORS
KAPPA DELTA PI (ALPHA BETA CHI CHAPTER) EDUCATION HONORS
Education major? The alpha Beta Chi chapter of Kappa Delta Pi is an International
Honor Society for Education. It was founded in 1911 and was one of the first discipline-specific
honor societies. Its membership is limited to the top 20 percent of those entering
the field of education. Getting good grades? Consider joining!
PHI ALPHA (RHO DELTA CHAPTER )
Social Work major? The Rho Delta Chapter of Phi Alpha Honor Society promotes scholastic
achievement among Social Work undergraduate students. Phi Alpha works to further the
goals of Social Work in the community.
PSI CHI (INTERNAT'L HONOR SOCIETY FOR PSYCHOLOGY)
Psychology major with a strong record of success? Psi Chi, the International Honor
Society in Psychology, the mission is to encourage excellence in scholarship and advance
the science of psychology. Lifetime Membership is open to undergraduate and graduate
students, transfer students, full-time and part-time faculty members and alumni.
SIGMA TAU DELTA (ENGLISH HONORS)
English major with strong grades? Sigma Tau Delta is an international honors society
for students in English and Integrated Language Arts. Members have opportunities to
participate in a variety of activities, such as movie nights, the annual Scrabble
tournament and more. Sigma Tau Delta is also primarily responsible for the publication
of Gesture, Ohio Dominican's literary journal.
THETA ALPHA KAPPA (ALPHA EPSILON ZETA CHAPTER)
Theology major with strong grades? The Alpha Epsilon Zeta chapter of Theta Alpha Kappa
is a Religious Studies /Theology branch of the Honor Society. As a part of the Honor
Society, Theta Alpha Kappa has ten core values that serve as a strong backbone for
the next generation of leaders, instilling in scholars a sense of responsibility and
commitment to excellence. In addition, Theta Alpha Kappa is helping to create a generation
of leaders who will be equipped to tackle the challenges of the future and make a
positive impact on society. Core values include academic excellence, leadership, service
and community involvement.

ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA (PI GAMMA CHAPTER)
Interested in joining a sorority? Alpha Kappa Alpha’s mission is to cultivate and
encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among
college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in
order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college
life and to be of “Service to All Mankind.”
DELTA SIGMA THETA (NU PHI CHAPTER)
Searching for a sorority? The Nu Phi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta’s provides assistance
and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world.
The sorority currently has 1,000 collegiate and alumnae chapters located around the
world, including the Nu Phi chapter established at ODU.
IOTA PHI THETA (FRATERNITY)
Interested in joining a fraternity? Iota Phi Theta has a commitment to make meaningful
contributions to society in general, with particular emphasis in the African-American
community. Throughout America, Iota Phi Theta has come to represent excellence in
the development and perpetuation of Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity
and Brotherhood among Men.
SIGMA GAMMA RHO SORORITY (IOTA NU SIGMA)
Like serving others and looking for a sorority? Sigma Gamma Rho’s commitment to service
is expressed in its slogan, “Greater Service, Greater Progress.” The sorority has
a proud history of providing positive and proactive community outreach nationally
and internationally. The programs, partnerships and sponsorships represent Sigma Gamma
Rho’s commitment to promoting the greater good in education, service and leadership
development.
