St. Albert STEM Club
Do you have a passion for science, technology, engineering or mathematics? ODU’s St. Albert STEM Club gives you access to opportunities to pursue your passion as you prepare for a successful career after college.
Purpose and Mission
The purpose and mission of the St. Albert STEM Club is to:
- Help students who are interested in pursuing a career in a STEM-related field through career exploration, academic preparation, and resume building.
- Expose members to the world of STEM through various hands-on activities.
- Educate and create awareness about STEM-related issues both on and off campus.
Membership Eligibility
All students, faculty and staff at Ohio Dominican are invited and encouraged to become a member of the St. Albert STEM Club. There are no membership fees, and fees for individual activities will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Member Requirements
In order to maintain membership status, you must have outstanding attendance at bi-weekly meetings and participation in club events and activities. Members are also strongly encouraged to be involved in the community.
Club Meetings
General club meetings take place every other week. These meetings are designated for club members and others who wish to become members. Non-members also are invited to attend general club meetings.

Ohio Dominican has been awarded a $1.2 million grant from the National Science Foundation's Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program to recruit and train pre-service secondary teachers who specializes in STEM-related areas.
The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship provides tuition funds to students who aspire to teach biology (life science), mathematics or chemistry in secondary schools located in underserved communities.

ODU is proud to partner with The Louis Stokes Midwest Regional Center of Excellence (LSMRCE) to help enhance and broaden the participation of minority students in STEM-related areas of study.
The St. Albert STEM Club aligns with the mission of LSMRCE to serve as a national hub of information for students to access data, models, and funding opportunities to support underrepresented students who are pursuing a high quality degree in a STEM discipline.
