Double-Licensure Program for Teacher Candidates
Earn Two Licenses in Four Years
Through Ohio Dominican's undergraduate double-licensure programs, students can earn two licenses within four years.
ODU’s Teacher Preparation Program offers double licensure options in the following areas:
- Integrated Language Arts Education (7-12) and Intervention Specialist (K-12)
- Integrated Mathematics Education (7-12) and Intervention Specialist (K-12)
- Art Education (K-12) and Intervention Specialist (K-12)
- Middle Childhood Education (4-9) and Intervention Specialist (K-12)
- Primary Education (PK-5) and Intervention Specialist (K-12)
The combination of these licenses allows the candidates to better support all students, including students with special needs.
Through these programs, teacher candidates at Ohio Dominican learn how to provide content instruction in those academic areas to all students and support students with special learning needs in the general education classroom as a way to increase inclusion.
