ODU's Criminology & Criminal Justice program provides comprehensive coverage of the criminal justice system, including law enforcement, courts, corrections, and juvenile justice as well as criminological theory and research methods.

All of this is framed within the larger context of society today and the history of Western civilization. Themes addressed in this broad context include the concept of community, the nature of human nature, punishment vs. rehabilitation, victimology and civil rights.
Criminology & Criminal Justice majors are able to pursue careers in all sectors of the criminal justice system, sometimes after additional graduate study in criminology or public administration.
