About Salt & Light
ODU’s Salt & Light is the student-led arm of ODU Campus Ministry, creating community service opportunities, devotion/study groups and prayer meetings for students and the campus community. All members of the ODU community who are interested in mission and ministry are welcome. The name “Salt & Light” comes from the words of Jesus when he said to his disciples “you are the salt of the earth” (Matthew 5:13) and “you are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14). Salt & Light welcomes all students to make a difference on campus, build connections with other students and pursue their calling to be a follower of Christ.
