First-Year Freshmen
ODU offers rolling admission. This means that there is not a strict application deadline, but the sooner we receive your application, high school transcripts and ACT or SAT test scores, the sooner we can inform you of your admission decision and begin the more exciting steps to becoming a Panther!
Ohio Dominican takes a variety of factors into account when reviewing a student’s application for admission. Emphasis is typically placed on the student’s academic transcript, since that is usually the best indicator of academic success.
ODU’s admission requirements are established as a guideline, but each student is considered individually for their unique talents and contributions. Ohio Dominican’s Admission Committee makes admissions decisions on a rolling basis.
Personalized campus visits are offered Monday – Friday and include the option of taking a tour, discussing the admission process, sitting in on a class, and meeting with a faculty or staff member.
We also host Preview Days throughout the year for students to dive deep into the Panther community.
Ohio Dominican works to make college affordable, so our sticker price is not what you’ll pay! Full-time undergraduate tuition is $16,880 per semester. For part-time and transfer students, the cost per credit hour is $930. Housing and Food rates for on-campus residents averages about $6,090 per semester. We encourage students to continue to challenge themselves by taking full advantage of Advanced Placement (AP) opportunities at their high school. To receive college credit, complete the AP exam offered at the end of each AP class. Official score reports can be sent to Ohio Dominican University (College Board code: 1131). Our Registrar’s Office will notify you of the credit or placement awarded.
Ohio Dominican’s Wellness Center aims to provide comprehensive care to the university community complete with free access to counseling and health services. Our licensed psychologists help students manage daily stressors and support a holistic wellness model, while our nurse practitioner makes diagnoses, writes prescriptions to be filled at a local pharmacy, and administers annual influenza vaccines. .
Our Fitness Center is free to use by students, faculty, and staff and equipped with over 60 pieces of equipment. Take advantage of our cardio equipment, weighted machines, and free weights to design a workout geared towards accomplishing your fitness goals. After your workout, freshen up in our men’s and women’s locker rooms before heading to class.

Our Study Abroad programs are available in a variety of forms: full semester, May term, Summer term, and work-and-teach programs.
Our recent Education Abroad Programs took students, faculty and staff to several counties, including Guatemala, Itlay, Costa Rica and Spain.
There are ample opportunities for spectator sports (minor league baseball, and major league soccer, hockey and lacrosse), recreation, shopping, and various cultural opportunities, including a vibrant dining and arts scene.
We are Central Ohio’s Only NCAA Division II athletics Program fielding teams in 16 varsity sports. ODU is a part of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. To learn more or get in touch with a coach click HERE.

All students under 60 credit hours are required to live on campus. Students can seek an exemption from this residency requirement if they live within 40 miles of ODU with a parent or guardian.
Student-athletes receiving athletic aid are required to live on campus regardless of age. Residency Requirement policies are detailed in the ODU student handbook and online.

Transfer Students
The application process is easy and an admission counselor will help you through each step of the admission and financial aid process.

There’s no cost for an evaluation of your previous courses and credits. ODU provides the academic evaluation as part of the transfer process.
We will accept all credits from college-level courses taken from accredited, four-year institutions in which you received a grade of C- or higher.
We will accept up to 68 semester credits (102 quarter credits) from college-level courses in which you received a C- or higher from two-year institutions.
Ohio Dominican will accept transfer credits from colleges or universities that are regionally accredited. The following is a list of regional accrediting agencies recognized by Ohio Dominican University:

If you are unsure whether your previous school is regionally accredited, please contact our office at transfer@ohiodominican.edu or (614) 251-4500.
No. For your initial evaluation of credits, you may fax or email your unofficial transcripts.
However, after you receive your official acceptance from ODU, you must submit official transcripts from all of the colleges and universities in which you were enrolled previously.
