Admission Requirements

We are committed to helping students transfer the maximum number of courses to Ohio Dominican. Get details below, and request a free Credit Transfer Evaluation today!

  • ODU accepts all credits from college-level courses taken from accredited, four-year institutions in which you received a grade of C- or higher.
  • Regardless of the number of credits acceptable for transfer, residency requirements mandate that a minimum of 30 semester credits are earned at ODU for a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 24 semester credits for an Associate degree.

Ohio Dominican will accept transfer credits from colleges or universities that are regionally accredited. The following is a list of regional accrediting agencies recognized by Ohio Dominican University:

  • New England Association of Schools & Colleges (EH)
  • Middle States Association of Colleges & Schools (M)
  • North Central Association of Colleges & Schools (NH)
  • Northwest Commission on Colleges & Schools (NW)
  • Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SC)
  • Western Association of Schools & Colleges (WC or WJ)

If you are unsure whether your previous school is regionally accredited, please contact our office at transfer@ohiodominican.edu or (614) 451-4500.
