Ohio Dominican University will hold its inaugural Day of Giving on April 27 – 28 on the theme of “Making it Matter.” This special virtual fundraising event will kick off at noon on Thursday, April 27 and conclude at noon on Friday, April 28.
During this 24-hour period of giving, students, faculty, staff, alumni, families, friends and supporters are invited to show their support of current and future Panthers by making a gift to support one of the following areas: ODU’s Annual Fund, annual scholarships for students, athletics, or academic support for students.
Early giving has already begun and is available here.
ODU’s Day of Giving will coincide with ODU Day, which the university hosts annually to mark the conclusion of each academic year. While traditionally a student-focused celebration, the university encourages all members of the campus community to celebrate the occasion this year by making a gift in recognition of this special moment in ODU students’ lives and to celebrate their accomplishments of the past year.
“There’s no question that education is the great equalizer in life because it helps to prepare students for the opportunities of tomorrow, and it equips them with the knowledge, skills and experiences they need to turn their dreams into reality,” ODU President Connie Gallaher said. “At Ohio Dominican, we believe an outstanding and transformational college education should be accessible to all students regardless of background or socioeconomic status, which is why nearly 100% of undergraduate students at ODU receive some kind of financial assistance. Much of the financial aid we award is made possible due to the support and incredible generosity of our donors, and I very much look forward to seeing what we will accomplish – together – during this inaugural Day of Giving to benefit our talented and deserving students.”
To inspire participation, starting on at noon on April 27, all gifts made to the university will be tracked in real-time on ODU’s Day of Giving website at give.ohiodominican.edu.
