Michael V. Dougherty joined the Philosophy faculty at Ohio Dominican University in
2003. His training is in the history of philosophy, and in recent years he has focused
on various issues in research and publishing ethics. He holds the Sr. Ruth Caspar
Chair in Philosophy.
He is author of Disguised Academic Plagiarism: A Typology and Case Studies for Researchers and Editors, Research Ethics Forum, vol. 8 (Springer, 2020); Correcting the Scholarly Record for Research Integrity: In the Aftermath of Plagiarism, Research Ethics Forum, vol. 6 (Springer, 2018), and Moral Dilemmas in Medieval Thought: From Gratian to Aquinas (Cambridge University Press, 2011). He has edited Aquinas’s ‘Disputed Questions on Evil: A Critical Guide’ (Cambridge University Press, 2016) and Pico della Mirandola: New Essays (Cambridge University Press, 2008). He edits the online resource Pico in English: A Bibliography.
