Lampkins Joins Ohio Dominican University as Director of the Village to Child Program

COLUMBUS, OH –Andre Lampkins has joined Ohio Dominican University as Director of its Village To Child Program (VTC), the university’s award-winning neighborhood outreach program that serves middle school students and their families who live in the 43219 zip code area. 

Lampkins most recently served as Education Manager for the Columbus Urban League, where he was responsible for developing educational program curricula and the annual education plan.  He also assembled and developed specific support materials for the Federal Head Start Continuation Grant.  He conducted research and pursued additional funding opportunities for the department.

Prior to that time, he was Center Director for the Knowledge Learning Corporation, and Human Services Manager/Youth Services Manger for CMACAO/Columbus LEADS.  He is a 2003 graduate of Otterbein College with a degree in Early Childhood Education.

VTC was founded in the spring of 1994 and functions with three goals: academic achievement; academic enrichment; and increasing high school graduation with a primary emphasis on middle school success while strongly encouraging post secondary education.
