Biography
Dr. Brad Nelson, a physiologist, earned a B.S. and M.S. from
Brigham Young University and his Ph.D. from the University of Florida. He
joined the Ohio Dominican University faculty in the fall of 2012 as an
Assistant Professor of Exercise Science.
Dr. Nelson has co-authored original research articles as well as review
papers in muscle biology, exercise physiology and nutrition. Additionally, his
research has spanned the spectrum from the molecular level to integrated
systems in humans. Dr. Nelson is active in professional organizations and has
presented his research at both national and regional meetings. Importantly, Dr.
Nelson loves teaching and interacting with students. He has been awarded for
his teaching in the sciences. His primary teaching interests involve physiology,
exercise physiology, anatomy, nutrition and exercise prescription.
