Biography
Margaret A. “Maggie” Gilmore is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Division of Business. Maggie received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Dayton and her Master of Taxation degree from Capital University Law School. Maggie is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), specializing in corporate taxation and financial statement accounting for income taxes.
Previous to joining the Division of Business as a full-time faculty member, Maggie was an adjunct faculty member with ODU. She also had held both an adjunct and full-time faculty teaching positions with Franklin University in the MBA and Accounting programs. In addition to her teaching experience, Maggie also has several years of professional experience as a CPA. Her first 10 years were spent with “Big 4” international accounting firm Deloitte Tax, of which the last 3 years she held the position of Tax Senior Manager. More recently, Maggie served as Director of Corporate Tax Services with Yankovich Adelman Johnson Stevenson CPAs. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA), the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), and a founding member of the Columbus Association of Tax Professionals (CATP). Maggie has also served on the Board of Directors for Catholic Social Services (2003-2009) and International Visitors Council (1999-2003).
