Students in Ohio Dominican University’s Master of Science in Medical Practice Management program develop skills and competencies necessary for managerial and executive-level positions in medical practices as well as other health services organizations and facilities. Additionally, students gain knowledge of health care law, regulations and economics, and demonstrate strong leadership, analytical and decision-making skills that prepare them for successful and fulfilling careers. Special emphasis is placed on strategic planning to better prepare students for managerial survival in the dynamic business environment that now permeates the health care industry.
Students in ODU’s program are required to take 11 courses and complete one of the following: a practicum, an independent project in medical practice management, or an elective in another graduate program at ODU.
