You get a head start on learning your way around campus. Find your favorite spots to study, eat, and just hang out on campus before everybody returns.
You’ll learn useful tips that can help you succeed in the classroom. You’ll learn study skills strategies, tips for note-taking in college, test-taking strategies, how to use a college syllabus, how to effectively use the library, and much more!
You’ll learn all about what ODU has to offer outside the classroom including incredible study abroad opportunities, helpful career development resources, important academic resources, caring Campus Ministry support, exciting social events, and much more.
You’ll get to know Columbus! Whether you’re new to the area or have lived here your whole life, Columbus has so many fun things to do – especially in the summer. In Summer START, you’ll be able to participate in several exciting and unique Columbus adventures.
Do you like helping others? If you do, after Summer START you’ll have so much knowledge about campus that you’ll be able to tell new students where the Academic Resource Center is located, where to go for help with financial aid, who to talk to if you want to join a student organization, and much more.
This is probably the only time you’ll ever be able to do something like this – so take advantage of it!
