Ohio Dominican University has the only Physician Assistant Studies program in Central Ohio. ODU’s program is tailored to meet the ever-increasing need for highly trained and field-experienced Physician Assistants.
Between 2008 and 2018, job opportunities for Physician Assistants will increase by 39%. To meet that demand, ODU has developed an Physician Assistant Studies program that offers exceptional educational training, service opportunities in local communities, and a diversity of rotations within medical organizations around the state.
The program utilitizes a state-of-the-art science building featuring cadaver, clinical, psychology and environmental science labs.
The ARC-PA has granted Accreditation - Provisional to the Ohio Dominican University Physician Assistant Program, sponsored by Ohio Dominican University. (Accreditation - Provisional is an accreditation status. The status indicates that the plans and resource allocation for the proposed program appear to demonstrate the program’s ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards, if fully implemented as planned. Accreditation - Provisional does not ensure any subsequent accreditation status and is limited to no more than three years for any program.)
