ODU takes pride in all that is has to offer to the thousands of alumni who have earned their degrees and to those students who are currently taking classes at this fine institution.  Tuition at ODU covers only 70% of the necessary expenses to run the university.  Because of this, we rely soley on the funds generated through the annual fund to make ODU affordable for many students who otherwise might not be able to attend.  The generous support of alumni, friends, families, faculty, staff and students has generated much-needed funds for some of ODU's most critical areas, including scholarships, technology, faculty and staff development, and campus improvements.

While some individuals are able to contribute more than others, it is important to know that every gift matters,  A strong community participation rate brings value and strength to our institution and allows corporations and foundations to see that ODU is worth their investment.  Even the smallest gifts add up to providing students with the preeminent higher education that they deserve.

We hope you will consider contributing to the successes of ODU students. A gift of any amount is greatly appreciated and will be recognized by name in the Honor Roll of Donors published in the Annual Report.
