What can you do with an Integrated Language Arts Education degree from ODU?
Students will develop writing skills that will provide a pathway into writing careers, such as:
- Journalism
- Technical writing
- Public relations
- Editing
- Writing for radio and television
The Integrated Language Arts
Licensure qualifies students to:
- Teach English Literature and Composition in grades 7 – 12
- Direct yearbooks and student newspapers
The ILA License also promotes communication and research skills that prepare students for jobs in the public and private sectors.
Students who graduate from this program
Graduates will be prepared to teach in a variety of schools and diverse learning environments. When our education students complete their degree requirements for Ohio licensure at Ohio Dominican University, they are ready for their own classroom. Students also learn to think critically and conduct research. Those skills prepare students for future endeavors, such as law school, a career as a paralegal, a librarian, and a host of positions in business and government.
