Public Relations & Marketing Communications
The Public Relations major at Ohio Dominican University prepares students for careers and advanced study in public relations, public affairs, corporate communications, media relations, marketing communications, promotion, special events, social media strategy, web communications, internal communications, and related fields.
Courses combine theory and practice, emphasizing the fundamental elements of public relations and integrated marketing communications and their interaction in a for-profit or non-profit organization’s communication strategies. The curriculum is a writing-intensive and business-oriented with a foundation in the liberal arts.
Elective courses will increase students understanding of how public relations and marketing communications programs are built.
